The challenge for this project was maintaining safety for both workers and the public below whilst carrying out the work during normal working hours.
Pitt Street, SYDNEY
The Building was refurbished both internally and externally commencing on March 2009. My role was to refurbish the 3 facades of the building. The work included high pressure water cleaning of the exterior concrete elements, applying a waterproofing liquid membrane, removal and installation of expansion joint and application of new sealant to windows. The work was executed with aluminium swinging stages modified to encapsulate all work within the stage. A class ‘B’ hoarding provided extra protection to the public along busy Pitt Street.
